Dialogue: funny word isn't it. defined as: a conversation between two or more people as a feature of a book, play or movie.

I think we like the word dialogue because it's less intrusive. If you're in a dialogue with someone and you don't like what they say you can just disregard it as not your opinion and you leave none the worse for wear. There's no harm in a dialogue...after all it's only a movie, book or play.

Mark Driscoll said this originally and I keep coming back to it in my thoughts. Dialogue seems harmless until we consider the garden of eden; the first sin stemmed from a dialogue between woman and the serpent.
